Migas

Ingredients:

-550 g stale bread.

-350 ml water.

-8 garlic cloves.

-Salt (to taste).

-Bacon and chorizo ​​(optional).

-100 g olive oil.

Elaboration:

1. Cut the bread into chunks.

2. Heat the water and gradually pour it over the bread, stirring constantly until well soaked. Add salt to taste.

3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil along with the 8 peeled garlic cloves.

4. When the garlic has sautéed for about 1 minute, add the soaked bread to the skillet.

5. Stir well with a wooden spatula until the crumbs turn golden brown and begin to separate from the pan.

Optional: If you prefer, you can add chorizo ​​and pancetta at the beginning, while the garlic is frying, so they cook with the crumbs. You can also serve the crumbs with melon, other fruits, or even chocolate, according to your taste.
